being creative makes the dark days more bearable. here are some of my recent works.

gypsy inspired dreamcatcher- 

the charm in the centre reads 'shanti (peace and tranquillity)'. 

a series of 'element' dreamcatchers in the making- sea, earth and air.

and for something totally different, i decided to make a new year's resolution jar- all the items in it symbolize various goals and hopes that i have for the year ahead. the items include (and represent) the following:

smokey quartz- promotes serenity, calmness and positive thoughts.
carnelian- brings in joy, blessings and happiness. enhances energy flow and creativity. lifts self-esteem, creating emotional warmth.
lepidolite- assists to make changes smoothly. opens the heart to self love and love of others. gives a feeling of universal light, hope and acceptance.
small crochet doily- to pursue my creativity and crafty endeavours.
my old jigsaw name badge- to be stable and well enough to return to employment.
feather- freedom- particularly from the demons in my head.
shell- to travel more, seek adventure, little trips to different locations.
buddha- self enlightenment, living in harmony.
destiny cards (fulfilment + confidence) - within myself and various aspects of my life.
pumpkin seeds- to maintain a healthy diet and improve my body image concerns.

i've put this in my bedroom so i can see it daily and be reminded of the things i wish to achieve in 2013.
